U.S. Patent for a Device to Steel
Over the years Lanford employees have devised many solutions to problems they face in the field. One such problem was finding a better way to straighten out steel beams after they have been hit by an over-highth load. From these efforts, LBC applied and received from the U.S. patent office a patent on a device to do just that. Patent Number 6,539,769 was issued to Patrick McDaniel, one of our V.P.’s (Patents cannot be issued to Corporations) on April 1, 2003. The title of this patent is “Bridge Straightner and Method” and we are very proud of this accomplishment as well as the many people here who contributed to it and cannot be recognized.
